and why you should be glad they are not true

               It will get better when...

       Believe me when I say it won't.  I have seen so many couples wait it out in an unhappy marriage hoping the future will change things.  The future might include "when I get that promotion..." or " When the kids are older... " or " when we get our finances under control... " Instead of things getting better when a life situation resolves, typically the old stressful situation is replaced by a new one. 

      The good news is that your circumstances are not the cause of your problems (see the section on affairs also). Certainly difficult circumstances can put stress on your marriage.  However, it is up to you whether you will let these circumstances pull your marriage apart or use those circumstances to draw closer. Your marriage will get better when you find a way to change the dance and you can find a way.
